Fors Marsh is hiring a Data Science Lead, Personnel Health Research & Data Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced data science and quantitative methods to social science and operational research initiatives
  • Act as technical lead on data-intensive research projects
  • Develop analytical strategies for complex, open-ended research questions using techniques such as multi-level modeling, factor analysis, clustering, LASSO/Ridge regression, natural language processing, and machine learning
  • Interpret data analysis outcomes to detect trends and generate actionable insights; simplify technical findings for diverse audiences
  • Explain the advantages and limitations of different analytical methods to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage survey processes including population definition, sample frame creation, data sourcing, cleaning, deduplication, and quality validation
  • Utilize artificial intelligence tools to improve research efficiency, develop internal prototypes, advance AI capabilities, and train team members
  • Supervise data workflows in R, Python, and Databricks, including automation, package development, data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and advanced modeling
  • Lead complex projects by defining work plans, timelines, scope controls, financial oversight, and resource alignment to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data scientists and analysts, assigning tasks and providing guidance and professional development support
  • Coordinate with internal project leads and managers to meet staffing and technical needs
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of client goals and missions; engage directly with client teams to build trust and ensure collaborative success
  • Ensure all project outputs meet client expectations and quality standards
  • Lead the creation of client reports and presentations; mentor staff in delivering high-impact client communications
  • Oversee the production of clear, audience-appropriate reports for both technical and general readers
  • Respond to client inquiries, proposal requests, and time-sensitive data needs
  • Manage a small team of data-focused professionals
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams of data and social scientists to foster innovation and continuous improvement
