Responsibilities
- Apply machine learning and data science methods to analyze national security data under the mentorship of senior staff.
- Support the development of data pipelines powered by large language models for extracting information, resolving entities, and analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Assist in creating and maintaining knowledge graphs and graph-based analytical systems, such as graph-RAG, to represent relationships in national security contexts.
- Help prototype AI agents and natural language interfaces that enable analysts to interact with data systems using everyday language.
- Develop clear, well-documented code for data science applications, visualizations, and analytical tools, adhering to best practices in version control, testing, and documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams including domain experts, analysts, and researchers to develop experimental prototypes and analytical capabilities.
- Support the creation of technical documentation, internal briefings, and scholarly outputs such as peer-reviewed papers and conference submissions.
- Carry out additional assigned tasks in support of project goals.
