Stone Tech is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to develop and maintain a robust data infrastructure that serves the organization's analytics needs. You will act as a technical reference for the team, focus on removing daily obstacles, and drive strategy and innovation alongside leadership.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a robust data infrastructure platform for analytics.
- Provide self-service solutions for users, enabling large-scale operations and preventing bottlenecks.
- Support the creation of management dashboards, data analysis, data science, machine learning, and data visualization.
- Democratize data access and usage within the company.
- Act as a technical reference and focal point for unblocking daily impediments.
- Identify gaps, level up the quality of deliveries, and manage expectations with other areas.
- Work on ambiguous problems without pre-defined scope requiring difficult prioritization.
- Make decisions regarding solution details and assist the team in solving ill-defined problems.
- Provide suggestions, constructive criticism, and disseminate technical knowledge.
- Autonomously define and deliver technical roadmaps for larger projects, often involving cross-team dependencies.
What We're Looking For
- Software engineering experience with Python (having developed and/or maintained a Python application).
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience with code architecture (e.g., clean architecture, hexagonal architecture).
- Experience with data transformation tools, especially dbt.
- Practical experience with Spark, Airflow, and Deltalake.
- Practical experience with Terraform applied to automated flows (CI/CD).
- Experience with cloud, especially AWS and its services.
- Knowledge of service containerization (Docker, docker compose, kubernetes, etc).
Nice to Have
- Deep theoretical-practical knowledge of databases (relational and non-relational).
- Theoretical-practical knowledge of Google BigQuery and/or Databricks.
