About the Role

BlackRock is hiring a Vice President of Product Management for its Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and growing the platform, collaborating across teams to develop the product vision and execution strategy, with a focus on the Data Acquisition, Ingestion, and Transformation domain.

What You'll Do

  • Establish and articulate a clear strategic roadmap for your capabilities, aligned to business outcomes and EDP’s product and technical architecture.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring timely and successful release of features.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, manage the product backlog, and support testing activities to ensure quality and alignment with user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to gather requirements and to scope and prioritize the build work.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market offerings, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Champion a user-centric, low-friction user experience for adopters and their customers.
  • Help to promote EDP’s adoption across the organization by providing training, documentation, and support.
  • Establish key performance indicators and metrics to track the business value delivered by EDP’s components.
  • Help to mentor and grow the next generation of BlackRock product managers.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a product management role developing cloud-based data platforms or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) products.
  • Experience in at least one of these product areas: Data Acquisition, Data Pipelines, Data Ingestion, Data Transformation.
  • Experience working in globally distributed product management and engineering teams.
  • A consistent record of successfully leading product development within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading the definition and development of commercial products and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to acquire and translate data-driven insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively engage and influence both technical and business partners at all levels.
  • Experience working with global cross-functional teams in a scaled agile development environment.
  • Experience using industry standard product management tools and technologies, e.g. Aha, Miro, Visio, Microsoft ADO, PowerPoint.

Nice to Have

  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strong preference for experience building a data platform.
