Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design of the operational data platform, leveraging expertise in Kafka, Debezium, and Flink for streaming data ingestion and processing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, standardize, and maintain durable, versioned canonical data models for core domains such as claims and enrollment.
- Establish and promote data contract standards, ensuring widespread adoption across internal and external data systems.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, including role-based access controls and compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Evaluate and select real-time data technologies that align with regulatory compliance and long-term strategic goals.
- Lead architectural decision-making for complex systems, balancing tradeoffs in cost, delivery time, and technical complexity.
- Proactively identify and mitigate architectural risks before they impact delivery or system stability.
- Provide hands-on technical mentorship and coaching to teams producing and consuming data.
- Drive innovation on the data platform with a focus on enabling practical artificial intelligence applications.
