As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and consistency of General Ledger master data within SAP systems. Reporting into the Finance Department, your focus will be on upholding data quality and governance standards across core platforms including SAP ECC, BW, and BPC, supporting financial operations throughout the EMEA region.
What You'll Do
- Manage the creation, modification, and upkeep of SAP General Ledger master data to ensure reliability and consistency.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies that promote compliance, data integrity, and standardized practices.
- Own and refine data maintenance processes across SAP ECC, BPC, and BW to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to support data-related initiatives and system improvements.
- Communicate data standards clearly and ensure alignment across departments and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in finance with direct involvement in data management or maintenance.
- Strong command of written and spoken English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in collaborative finance teams on multiple concurrent projects.
- Familiarity with SAP, BPC, SAP AO, or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools.
- Background in data stewardship and enterprise data governance practices.
Technical Environment
Work across SAP ECC, Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP AO, SAP S/4HANA, Excel, and Power BI to ensure seamless data flow and governance.
