State Street is looking for a Data Governance Regulatory Analyst to join our Global Chief Data Office (CDO). In this role, you will evaluate data governance regulatory obligations and design, implement, and oversee assurance and controls frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
What You'll Do
- Analyze data-related regulations and guidance to determine applicability to State Street's businesses and recommend updates to policies, standards, and controls.
- Engage with CDO colleagues and business units to review regulatory obligations and define assurance and controls frameworks.
- Participate in creating reports and provide in-depth analyses on regulatory subjects.
- Create OKRs and key measures to quantify compliance levels, identify gaps, and highlight risk areas.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to ensure support and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- At least 7 years of experience in the Finance industry, Technology, Data, Access Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis.
- Experience in audit, assurance, control, or project management roles.
- Proven ability to create, maintain, and automate reports.
- Ability to provide analytics and consultancy to Senior Management regarding data regulations.
- Understanding of regulations with data touchpoints, such as BCBC 239, NYDFS AML, GDPR, RDARR, and CCPA.
- Understanding of data concepts and assurance/control frameworks.
- Excellent written and oral communication and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience managing multiple projects alongside regular activities.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to operate in diverse and dynamic business environments.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Technology, or an equivalent field.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of data concepts. Previous experience in data governance or master data management is a plus.
- 5+ years in a Data Governance role or a role focused on data/business analysis, administration, processing, or access is preferred.
