What You'll Do
Design and maintain a cloud-native data platform on AWS, enabling reliable and secure data infrastructure that supports impactful healthcare innovation. You'll develop and optimize scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time processing systems, to support high-impact pharmacy solutions.
- Build and manage ETL workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and MWAA-Airflow to process complex healthcare data.
- Architect efficient storage and retrieval systems using Redshift, Aurora, S3, and RDS PostgreSQL to support analytics and application needs.
- Translate business requirements into robust data models, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
- Automate data pipelines to reduce manual effort and improve delivery speed and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, tune queries, and implement partitioning and caching strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with product and analytics teams to understand data needs and deliver effective engineering solutions.
- Champion data security, governance, and access controls, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations.
- Mentor team members and promote a culture of innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 10 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on AWS cloud technologies.
- Proven expertise with AWS services including Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Aurora, S3, and MWAA-Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and stored procedures, with experience in database optimization and advanced query design.
- Direct experience working with healthcare data such as Medical Claims or Rx Claims.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and translate needs into technical solutions.
- Commitment to delivering accurate, timely results and improving data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical environments and a passion for solving complex data challenges.
