About the Role
The Data Engineer II will build and improve data infrastructure to support growing business needs, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and performance across pipelines and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage data pipelines that process large volumes of information
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
- Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability
- Monitor data workflows for reliability and troubleshoot issues
- Design and maintain data models and warehouse structures
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes
- Support self-service analytics tools for non-technical users
- Improve data documentation and metadata management
- Work with streaming and batch data processing systems
- Contribute to data governance and compliance initiatives
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies when appropriate
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Help define best practices for data engineering standards
- Assist in onboarding teams to new data platforms
- Maintain secure access controls for sensitive data
- Collaborate on incident response related to data systems
- Support business intelligence reporting requirements
- Contribute to capacity planning for data infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally to align data solutions with business goals
- Document system architecture and operational procedures
- Automate repetitive data engineering tasks
- Ensure efficient data transfer between systems
- Participate in setting long-term data strategy
- Assist in performance tuning of queries and pipelines
