About the Role

The Data Engineer II will build and improve data infrastructure to support growing business needs, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and performance across pipelines and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage data pipelines that process large volumes of information
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability
  • Monitor data workflows for reliability and troubleshoot issues
  • Design and maintain data models and warehouse structures
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes
  • Support self-service analytics tools for non-technical users
  • Improve data documentation and metadata management
  • Work with streaming and batch data processing systems
  • Contribute to data governance and compliance initiatives
  • Evaluate and integrate new data technologies when appropriate
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
  • Help define best practices for data engineering standards
  • Assist in onboarding teams to new data platforms
  • Maintain secure access controls for sensitive data
  • Collaborate on incident response related to data systems
  • Support business intelligence reporting requirements
  • Contribute to capacity planning for data infrastructure
  • Work cross-functionally to align data solutions with business goals
  • Document system architecture and operational procedures
  • Automate repetitive data engineering tasks
  • Ensure efficient data transfer between systems
  • Participate in setting long-term data strategy
  • Assist in performance tuning of queries and pipelines
