Ekumen is hiring a Data Engineer to maintain and enhance a critical data ingestion pipeline that supports key decision-making processes and enables teams to work with reliable, high-quality data. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth data flow, improve observability, and continuously optimize systems.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize a data ingestion pipeline built with Java and Python.
- Implement new features and improvements to keep systems efficient and scalable.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and share ideas to raise the bar for engineering practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience of +4 years as a Data Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A collaborative mindset and proactive attitude.
- Strong English communication skills (B2/C1 level).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Apache Beam or Apache Spark.
- Knowledge of observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
