About the Role
The Data Engineer will build and maintain the organization's core data infrastructure, enabling reliable access to high-quality data for analytics and operational use. This role involves close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage scalable data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation
- Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting needs
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to understand data requirements
- Monitor data workflows and resolve issues in production environments
- Implement data validation and quality assurance protocols
- Support integration of data from multiple internal and external sources
- Maintain documentation for data architectures and processes
- Work with cloud-based data platforms and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures promptly
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Improve data security and access controls
- Automate routine data engineering tasks
- Contribute to data governance initiatives
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies as needed
- Ensure compliance with data privacy standards
- Support real-time and batch data processing workflows
- Collaborate on data warehouse development and maintenance
- Assist in capacity planning for data infrastructure
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of streaming data platforms like Kafka
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
- Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering
