InterWorks is seeking a Data Engineer to empower customers to make data-driven decisions by building reliable data pipelines and combining expert application of new software with a unique perspective on bridging the Business-IT divide.
What You'll Do
- Tackle diverse projects ranging from a few days to a few months for clients from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data infrastructure and pipelines for Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
- Design cloud-native data pipelines, automation routines, and database schemas for predictive and prescriptive machine learning.
- Communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and through documentation, to business sponsors, analysts, and technical resources.
- Build and implement ETL frameworks to improve code quality and reliability.
- Build and enforce common design patterns to increase code maintainability.
- Work with disparate data sources, including relational databases, flat files, Excel, HDFS/Big Data systems, and high-performance analytical databases.

- Exposure to AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
