Joko is hiring its first Data Engineer to take ownership of building and scaling our data infrastructure. You will create a reliable, secure, and high-performing data platform, playing a high-impact role with significant autonomy and growth potential. What You'll Do
- Scale our data infrastructure to make it more scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources and orchestrate them efficiently.
- Unlock scalable data modeling by improving dbt project organization, factorizing dbt jobs, and ensuring quality.
- Ensure data quality & observability by implementing monitoring, testing, and alerting systems.
- Manage data access & governance by defining and enforcing access control policies.
- Implement documentation & knowledge sharing for models, pipelines, and workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts & stakeholders to ensure the stack supports their needs.
- Build infrastructure to support new market launches, manage large data volumes, and lay groundwork for AI initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ownership over building and/or scaling data infrastructure.
- Led the implementation or scaling of a modern data stack in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Proficient in SQL and Python.
- Solid hands-on experience with orchestration tools, and cloud environments like Snowflake, GCP, or AWS.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and performance optimization techniques.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Team & Environment
You will be the first Data Engineer, joining a Data team currently composed of Data Analysts. You'll be part of the Data & Operations department within a team of over 50 talents.
