Halliburton is hiring a Data Engineer to lead well site monitoring operations and geological data analysis. In this supervisory role, you will ensure the technical success of assigned jobs while empowering your team to develop their skills and careers.
What You'll Do
- Supervise well site monitoring jobs, setting performance standards and being responsible for the success of all phases.
- Execute the duties of an INSITE Spec-SDL while overseeing and mentoring subordinates.
- Interpret logging information to determine the occurrence and composition of oil and/or gas shows while drilling.
- Analyze and document geological data per Surface Logging System (SDL) guidelines, including Zone of Interest and Show Reports.
- Provide lithologic descriptions of all formations drilled and identify formation names, groups, or members.
- Assemble mud logging information into mud logs and the Drilling Database following established SDL and customer guidelines.
- Communicate critical mud logging information to the customer, including Morning Reports, Show Notifications, and Engineering Problems.
- Perform specialized tests or gather additional data as required by the customer.
- Gather, assemble, and ensure the timely delivery of cutting sample sets per customer requirements.
- Perform safe, neat, and professional rig-up and rig-down procedures.
- Conduct specialized monitoring services as required by the customer, supervisor, or Optimization Field Professionals.
- Properly brief relief personnel to ensure smooth shift changeovers.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience gathering accurate factual logging information (Depth, Gas Units and Composition, Rate of Penetration, Lag Time, Engineering Data and Calculations, Pressure Detection Data).
- Must have CVE-TP or Advanced Gas experience.
- Advanced English Proficiency is mandatory.
- A 'can do' attitude as well as energy and passion for learning.
Team & Environment
You will supervise subordinates and collaborate closely with Optimization Field Professionals to deliver high-quality results.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at Anton Dragtenweg 266, Apt 1, Paramaribo, Suriname.
