USA7 DXC Technology Services LLC is looking for a Data Center Technician to join our team in Ashburn, VA. You will provide hands-on technical support within a CoLo data center environment, performing hardware installation, basic networking support, and ticket management while assisting internal teams and external vendors.
What You'll Do
- Provide field support, including break/fix, hardware installation, and general hands-on IT assistance.
- Manage and update SNOW (ServiceNow) tickets and asset records.
- Perform networking troubleshooting using crash carts, console connections, iLO, and remote access tools.
- Troubleshoot issues with switches, routers, core/aggregation hardware, ISP equipment, and cabling.
- Serve as on-site 'Hands and Eyes' support for remote network engineers.
- Escort third-party hardware vendors and ensure adherence to site policies.
- Perform rack-and-stack of servers, switches, and other data center hardware.
- Perform cable management, including routing under raised floors and through endcaps.
- Conduct remote and on-site support for software and hardware installations.
- Safely lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Ability to work in data center or telecom closet environments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a server room setting.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of field support or data center experience.
- Vendor certifications from Lenovo, HP, IBM, or similar.
- CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+).
- Apple device training or certifications.
