AECOM is hiring a Data Center BIM Lead

About the Role

AECOM is looking for a Data Center BIM Lead to support the delivery of hyperscale Data Center projects. In this role, you will collaborate with our global BIM team and serve as a primary point of contact for BIM coordination and quality assurance.

What You'll Do

  • Create and manage BIM models for MEP systems, data center components, and technical libraries to support design, analysis, fabrication, and installation.
  • Maintain BIM/CAD data formats, templates, libraries, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance with project standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to facilitate coordination and clash detection across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Support the preparation of detailed construction drawings aligned with design intent.
  • Oversee BIM data integrity, ensure adherence to client requirements, and drive continuous improvement across digital workflows.
  • Provide leadership and direction of specific BIM technologies to assigned project teams.
  • Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and independently determine the approach.
  • Perform complex assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, including Revit, to achieve set results and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience in CAD/BIM drafting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in BIM management for complex building types or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem solver with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

  • Data Center experience.
  • Familiarity with data center design criteria and industry standards.

You will work under minimal direction, collaborating closely with AECOM’s global BIM team.
