Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Data Analyst II to drive meaningful impact in the Medicare brokerage space by delivering insights that shape strategic decisions across product, operations, and business teams. In this remote role, you will build scalable dashboards, uncover trends through exploratory analysis, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Design and build interactive dashboards and self-service reports using modern BI tools.
- Conduct deep-dive exploratory analyses to surface business trends and performance opportunities.
- Document analytical methodologies, definitions, and reporting logic for cross-functional use.
- Work with data engineers and analytics engineers to ensure data pipeline quality and reliability.
- Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through data storytelling and compelling visualizations.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis roles, delivering actionable business intelligence.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Hex).
- Familiarity with modern data infrastructure (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
- Ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous datasets and turn them into usable insights.
- Excellent communication skills for clearly presenting complex data to diverse teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with dbt and data modeling practices.
- Familiarity with healthcare or insurance datasets and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and interest in advanced techniques like fuzzy matching or time series.

- Compensation: $90,000—$110,000 USD, with flexibility based on experience, geography, and equity/cash preference. Equity compensation packages are available.
