AfricaSporty is hiring a Data Analyst to join our remote-first team. In this role, you will work with petabytes of data to uncover insights that directly influence business strategy. You’ll create dashboards used daily by product managers and executives and have complete freedom in your analytical methodology.
What You'll Do
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-making.
- Design, define, and monitor core business KPIs to evaluate product and operational performance.
- Partner with product, marketing, and business teams to translate business questions into structured data analysis.
- Deliver clear, concise, and data-driven insights to stakeholders and shareholders through presentations and reports.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that enable self-service analytics.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and emerging business needs.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by validating datasets and collaborating with data engineering teams when needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience in a similar data-driven role.
- Excellent working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Python and a range of BI and data visualization tools.
- Strong knowledge with ETL data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of A/B Testing.
- Familiarity with Airflow.
- Understanding of principles of relational databases and data warehouses.
- Proactive and self-driven with excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Great communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with machine learning.
- Relevant knowledge or experience in the gaming industry.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Experience with Airflow and Metabase.
- Strong understanding of sports and gaming will be beneficial.
