Lidl is looking for a Data Analyst to join a focused expert team. In this role, you will use advanced AI and machine learning to analyze data, identify business improvements, and translate complex findings into clear insights for company leadership. You will work independently on analytical projects while collaborating in an international, English-speaking environment.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and interpret data using advanced AI algorithms to identify potential improvements in business processes.
- Support decision-making through statistically sound, model-based Deep-Dive analyses and report results directly to the CFO and company leadership.
- Develop solutions for more efficient process management based on current Machine-Learning procedures in collaboration with Micro-Solutions departments.
- Focus on data visualization and storytelling, transforming complex technical findings into understandable presentations for top management.
- Lead analytical projects independently as part of a small expert team.
- Communicate daily in English within an international environment and regular project meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Expert knowledge of programming in Python.
- Mastery of optimization and statistical methods and their application in Python using frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, statsmodels, or PuLP.
- Technical knowledge of data platforms and infrastructures, such as Databricks, Tensorflow, or PyTorch.
- Ability to understand complex business management questions and transform technical findings for use by non-technical audiences.
- Advanced level English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently, be meticulous, systematic, and have a willingness to learn new things.
Nice to Have
- Completed university education ideally in economics, computer science, statistics, or mathematics.
- 2-3 years of experience in leading analytical projects, or the ability to demonstrate significant analytical potential.
