The Co-operators is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to contribute to complex data analysis projects and support team coaching. You will empower decision-making using advanced analytics to deliver a single version of the truth and valuable insights for operational excellence. What You'll Do

Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver, with guidance, a prototype analytical solution for effective storytelling.
Work on data querying along with extracting, cleaning, reconciling, and preparing data required for analysis.
Autonomously participate in the end-to-end production implementation process for analytical solutions.
Understand business partners, their expectations, objectives, and pain points and clearly communicate with the team.
Conduct business data modeling and define and design logical data models.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the insurance business domain.
Autonomously demonstrate critical judgment in determining how a business objective can be addressed and solved with data analysis.
Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner.

What We're Looking For

6-9 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or an equivalent domain.
University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience.
Strong knowledge and understanding of: Data analysis, Programming/tools, Modelling techniques, Data warehouse/data management, Research, and Architecture/design.
Proven experience solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and can provide clear recommendations for improvement.
Experience with SQL and Azure Synapse.
Proficiency in both English and French is essential for servicing and communicating primarily with majority anglophone and francophone clients, groups, and teams.

Nice to Have

ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset.
Experience with Databricks, Python, MicroStrategy, and Power BI is an asset.
