Middle Seat is hiring a Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support our analytics work, providing insights into advertising, fundraising, and organizing strategies for clients who share our left-of-center values. You’ll help drive data-driven decisions through analysis, reporting, and infrastructure improvements.

What You'll Do

Lead our data visualization and analytics work by setting up, upgrading, and troubleshooting internal and external dashboards.
Proactively provide analysis for ongoing work and curate a culture of data-driven decision making.
Manage the lifecycle of data requests by actively monitoring and responding to internal Slack channels.
Engage in timely communication with staff to clarify requirements and ensure data delivery matches strategic needs.
Document data standards and how-tos by creating and maintaining clear documentation for data sources and reporting logic.
Train and support teammates on data products and digital tools.
Execute list rentals and buys, leading the coordination of internal and external email and phone data acquisitions.
Manage the secure transfer of personally identifiable information (PII).
Perform regular audits to reconcile data discrepancies between CRMs and reporting tools.
Partner with strategy teams to design rigorous A/B tests and analyze results to provide statistical confidence.
Lead agency-wide data modelling by designing, deploying, validating, and improving models using rigorous statistical methods.
Support the Data Department as a team player, providing feedback and assistance on technical projects.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management, adapting to evolving business needs.
