Afirme Seguros is seeking a Junior Damage Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, quoting, and underwriting property damage insurance policies in accordance with our company guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Prepare quotes for property damage insurance lines.
- Analyze policy and endorsement applications to ensure they contain all necessary information for risk underwriting.
- Underwrite risks according to the company's current policies.
- Inform Agents or Commercial Areas when a risk requires additional information, inspection, or expert support.
- Notify the responsible Commercial Area via email about rejected applications.
- Maintain an Excel record of all underwriting applications received.
- Provide feedback to the sales area regarding doubts or clarifications related to policies, endorsements, or property damage insurance information.
- Identify policies nearing renewal that must be presented to the underwriting committee.
- Validate that Appointment Letters are endorsed and authorized by the corresponding Commercial Director.
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil).
- Experience in Property Damage Underwriting.
- Knowledge of property damage products and underwriting.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
