Optiv is looking for a CyberSecurity Advisor - Security Operations to serve as a trusted partner to our clients. In this role, you will combine sales skills with deep security practitioner knowledge to design comprehensive security solutions and advise on scalable security programs using advanced services and technologies.
What You'll Do
- Drive generation of services and technologies business to meet or exceed quarterly/annual quota objectives.
- Understand and maintain knowledge of client’s security environment, business operations, security needs, and risk appetite.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across clients and partner relationships.
- Articulate how Optiv's technology and services portfolio meets client stakeholder needs at the leadership level.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, news, and the security landscape to facilitate thought leadership.
- Collaborate with service delivery to ensure consistent and comprehensive supporting materials.
- Work with multiple client personas to develop security strategy and define roadmaps aligned to business goals and budget.
- Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders by facilitating thought leadership and guidance.
- Maintain strong working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners.
- Design and solution complete security programs to meet client objectives across technology and services.
- Interface with internal Optiv teams to align client expectations and ensure service delivery excellence.
- Listen for client feedback and share with internal teams for continuous improvement.
- Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Participate in managing and prioritizing the proposal process, creating business proposals and responding to RFI/RFPs.
- Actively pursue personal development through formal education, certification, and other avenues.
- Apply proficient sales techniques including making connections, facilitating meetings, overcoming objections, and positioning solutions.
What We're Looking For
- BS/BA or equivalent and applicable work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer.
- Highly motivated self-starter that does not require day-to-day management.
- Ability to work in a highly adaptable and nimble team environment with responsive communication.
- Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls.
- Strong business and technical acumen and ability to lead technology focused discussions.
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills to clients.
- Strong attention to detail for reviewing statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables.
- Maintains broad security related knowledge and continuously expands expertise in other domains.
- Vendor specific certification(s) focused primarily on specialty.

Work Mode
This position is remote and open to candidates located in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas.
