Parsons Transportation Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst/Specialist to support the transformation of the Federal Aviation Administration's brand-new air traffic control system (BNATCS). This role is central to enhancing safety, improving reliability, and protecting the security of our national aviation infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
- Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.
- Implement security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
- Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Keep management informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status.
- Assist in maintaining security policies, standards, and processes when changes are required.
- Assist in tracking security incidents and maintaining a list in a security incident database.
- Assist in compliance efforts to ensure the security and integrity of employee, customer, and company data.
- Assist in managing the development, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operations of information security systems.
- Assist in ensuring that Information Security risk assessments, deficiency analysis, system checks, and audits are performed regularly.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring the program’s Information Technology disaster recovery programs.
- Identify potential IT security incidents.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a US Person.
- Understanding of large-scale security infrastructure, network protocols, security defenses, proactive defense measures, mitigation techniques, incident response, and compliance.
- A Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years of experience in Information Security or equivalent work experience.
