The Customer Engineer II plays a pivotal role in bridging technical expertise with customer needs, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the cloud adoption journey. This role is responsible for understanding customer business objectives and technical environments, then designing and implementing scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions. The engineer leads proof-of-concept projects, delivers technical workshops, and collaborates closely with sales and product teams to demonstrate the value of cloud platforms. Success in this role requires deep technical knowledge across infrastructure, data, AI, and security domains, as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position also involves identifying long-term opportunities for digital transformation and guiding customers through modernization initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage technical account strategies, aligning with sales initiatives and contributing to planning efforts.
- Demonstrate the value of cloud platforms through complex demonstrations, pilots, and in-depth technical workshops.
- Design integrated solutions across multiple technology domains, lead technical decision-making, and establish early delivery roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Six years of experience in cloud-native architecture in customer-facing or support roles.
- Experience in cloud engineering, on-premises systems, virtualization, or containerization technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling technical solutions in areas such as infrastructure modernization, data analytics, cloud AI, or security.
- Proven ability to manage the full business cycle, from defining delivery plans to transitioning them for execution.
- Track record of developing long-term technical strategies that identify new customer workloads and opportunities.
