Google is looking for a Customer Engineer to partner with our technical sales teams in differentiating Google Cloud to our customers. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for accelerating technical wins and the adoption of complex, specialized workloads. You will leverage deep expertise to design data foundation architectures and develop Minimum Viable Products to sell new solutions.
What You'll Do
- Solve analytics-centered customer challenges and provide a critical feedback loop to unblock customers and influence product development.
- Facilitate making customer work more productive, mobile, and collaborative.
- Assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for customers.
- Liaise with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
Nice to Have
- Experience with core infrastructure concepts such as compute, storage, networking, and backup.
- Experience engaging with, presenting to, or influencing technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
- Experience with Google Cloud products and differentiation from competition.
- Experience selling technical solutions in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, AI, Networking, Migrations or Security.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible and designing CI/CD pipelines.

- Compensation: $153,000-$222,000 + equity included
