Unknown Company is hiring a Credit Recovery Intervention Teacher

Stride K12 is hiring a remote Credit Recovery Intervention Teacher to deliver instruction and support students primarily for the Indiana Digital Learning Alternative School (INDLAS). In this state-certified role, you will provide personalized learning, manage the educational process, and focus on individual student needs through online synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.

What You'll Do

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Personalize learning for all students and demonstrate a belief in every student’s ability to succeed.
• Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
• Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools according to prescribed policies.
• Maintain the grade book, ensure academic integrity, make student placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to concerns.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches.
• Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic technical troubleshooting.
• Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and school requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to drive instructional decisions.
• Receptive to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during a typical 9-5 (or 8-4) workday.
• High School Teaching Certification required, with Math preferred.
• If your current Certification is from another state, you must obtain reciprocity within Indiana within 60 days of employment.

• Experience working with the proposed age group.
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
• Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Resident of Indiana. Residents of surrounding states (MI, OH, KY, or IL) may be considered.

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $46,000 - $50,000
• Eligibility for a performance bonus.

Work Mode

This is a remote position. Candidates located in Indiana are preferred, but residents of surrounding states (MI, OH, KY, or IL) will also be considered.
