EvenUp is hiring a Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Tech Transactions to join our fast-growing legal tech startup. In this remote role, you will focus on privacy, data security, and technology transactions. As our first dedicated counsel in this space, you will act as a true tech generalist with broad scope to impact key business components as the company scales.
What You'll Do
- Focus on privacy, data security, and technology transactions.
- Act as a true tech generalist with broad scope to impact key business components.
- Engage in case studies as part of the interview process.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from a top school.
- Bar member in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4-8 years of experience, likely in Big Law.
- Deep experience with domestic data security and privacy laws, particularly concerning protected health and other sensitive personal information.
- Well-grounded background in technology transactions, including enterprise software agreements and other technology vendor agreements.
- Intrinsic motivation to perform at a high level and to win.
Nice to Have
- Ideally with in-house experience.
- A client portfolio with meaningful overlaps to components of EvenUp’s business (e.g., enterprise software, AI, health records, privileged records, insurance, legal tech, etc.).
- Ability to contribute outside of core areas of expertise.
