Responsibilities
- Script Writing & Hook Development: Work with the CEO and our video team to ideate, draft, and produce high-converting video ad scripts. You will focus on creating multiple "hooks" and angles for every offer.
- Messaging Optimization: Constantly analyze creative performance to rewrite and improve existing ad copy, testing new sales messages and emotional triggers to extend the life of winning campaigns.
- Recruit actors & influencers: We are always expanding our network of actors to star in our videos and bring your scripts to life.
- Research: With guidance from the CEO, you’ll research the ideal customer persona, their problems, desires, needs, fears and decision set to inform the copywriting strategy.
- Test planning and execution: Work with the CEO and our media buyers to continuously improve results through a/b and multivariate testing of copy and headline variables.
- Competitive research: Monitor messaging trends and competitor "hooks" in our target industries to stay ahead of the curve.
- Performance analysis: Audit the performance of your scripts on each account twice weekly for insights and rewriting opportunities.
- Video review: Ensure all ads created by the video editing team follow your scripts exactly, working collaboratively with them to ensure the sales message is clear in the final video.
- Conversion rate optimization: Work with the CEO and our development team to continuously improve the sales copy of our landing pages and ads to increase revenue per visitor.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in direct response copywriting with a strong emphasis on developing high-converting scripts for video ads (Meta & TikTok).
- Proven ability to improve ad performance through copy iterations, sharper hooks, and data-driven messaging adjustments.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes for actors and influencers.
- Demonstrated ability to work under and meet KPIs.
- Proficiency with excel or google sheets (pivot tables and vlookups will be necessary).
- Proactive mindset instead of reactive.
- Ability to write with style and within compliance guidelines.
- Growth mindset, always willing to learn.
- Fluency in English.
- Portfolio of scripts or ads you have written that show a clear focus on conversion.
Nice to Have
- Experience buying media on any channel.
- Experience writing for financial services.
- Experience with affiliate or other performance based ways of working.
- Have one other creative “special skill” you can bring to the table (photoshop, video editing, basic web dev).
- Written and produced Tiktok Ads before.
- Worked and succeeded in a compliance heavy industry before.
- You have actors & influencers you’ve worked with before, that you can bring to the table.
