SYNTEGON is hiring a Controls Software Engineer (PLC/SCADA) – Customer Service to play a key role in supporting, upgrading, and commissioning control systems for Telstar isolator and containment equipment. You will work within a flexible, multi-skilled team to design, test, and implement automation software solutions that meet pharmaceutical industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Provide service, software, and commissioning support to customers and internal teams.
- Design, develop, and test PLC & SCADA control systems for upgrade and retrofit projects.
- Manage data communications with third-party equipment and systems.
- Validate and document software designs in line with GAMP and pharmaceutical standards.
- Promote and implement Syntegon Telstar standard design practices to improve efficiency.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support, including troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Travel within the UK and overseas to support installation and after-sales projects.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience designing, testing, and commissioning PLC and SCADA/HMI control systems.
- Hands-on background in software design and system integration for industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of GxP and GAMP standards within a regulated environment.
- Ability to provide direct field service and commissioning support.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally for project work.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-skilled technical team.
