About the Role
Lead financial reporting and close processes while supporting M&A integration and global accounting initiatives. Leverage AI-driven tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency across corporate accounting functions in a fast-paced, innovative environment with hybrid work flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Support financial due diligence efforts, including working capital assessments and risk evaluations.
- Engage in purchase accounting under ASC 805, covering asset valuations, opening balance sheets, and post-acquisition adjustments.
- Help integrate acquired businesses into existing financial systems, processes, controls, and accounting standards.
- Identify gaps in financial and operational performance during integrations and recommend AI-enhanced solutions.
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close tasks with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare, review, and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules.
- Assist in consolidation reporting and deliver corporate-level financial outputs.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors on audit responses and SOX compliance requirements.
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools to optimize the financial close cycle and improve data accuracy.
- Support the development of technical accounting documentation for complex transactions and emerging projects involving AI or system upgrades.
- Apply in-depth US GAAP expertise to address accounting for M&A and other non-routine activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements in corporate accounting using automation, AI, and workflow redesign.
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, IT, and global accounting teams on M&A and integration deliverables.
- Deliver financial analysis and insights to guide strategic business decisions.
- Ensure standardized, high-quality execution across global accounting teams and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in the high-tech or SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and exposure to international financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm is highly preferred.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration activities.
- Familiarity with Workday Finance or NetSuite systems.
- Experience using or willingness to adopt AI-powered financial tools.
