Second Dinner is hiring a Contract Art Director to define and drive the visual identity of a new, major multiplatform free-to-play game. You’ll be responsible for crafting the art vision, creating key art, building a small team, and managing the vision across all aspects of the game.

What You'll Do

• Craft the art vision for the game, from defining characteristics to style guides
• Create key art and hands-on assets to explore and establish the game’s visual identity
• Build and manage a small team of ultra-talented internal and external artists
• Drive visual development across characters, UI, environments, animation, and VFX
• Partner with other creative leaders to ensure gameplay and visuals feel perfectly woven together
• Spin up and manage an art outsourcing pipeline while maintaining high quality
• Collaborate with our IP partner to build something unique yet authentic

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years leading and mentoring artists across multiple disciplines
• Experience Art Directing one or more shipped, high-quality games
• A portfolio that shows distinctive, stylized work and strong visual storytelling
• Proven ability to define a game’s look and feel from the ground up
• Comfort working across mobile, PC, and/or console pipelines
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Unity or in-engine implementation
• Experience with live service or cross-platform game development

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $96 - $120 per hour (USD)
