Smallpdf is looking for a Content Writer to build a human-centered, developer-first content foundation. You will be the voice that translates our complex PDF technology into simple, honest, and meaningful messaging for technical decision-makers. Your work will directly influence how thousands of leading organizations handle their PDF workflows.
What You'll Do
- Establish trusted, developer-first messaging by becoming fluent in our products and translating domain expertise into clear, accurate content.
- Drive qualified developer discovery by using content as a primary lever to increase organic discovery across search and LLM-driven surfaces.
- Validate and refine positioning by running high-cadence content experiments across blogs, landing pages, technical explainers, and sales assets.
- Create credible customer-led use cases by interviewing customers directly and producing clear website content that helps developers assess product fit.
- Enable Sales and Customer Success by delivering and iterating on customer-facing collateral that supports real sales conversations and onboarding.
- Own editorial strategy by maintaining a forward-looking plan aligned with product launches and engaging in developer discourse off-site.
What We're Looking For
- Strong writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and credibly.
- Experience writing for APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
- 3+ years of experience creating content for developers or technical buyers.
- A strategic mindset focused on impact, not just output.
- Comfort interviewing customers, internal experts, and stakeholders.
- Ability to balance planning, execution, and iteration in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with SEO, organic discovery, and modern content distribution (including LLM-driven discovery).
- Experience using LLMs as an orchestration tool for content.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate cross-functionally.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of PLG or developer-led growth motions.
- Experience working closely with Product, Sales, or Customer Success teams.
- Knowledge of French or German language.
