Directive Consulting is hiring a Content Strategist to own the client relationship and marketing strategy for Enterprise accounts. In this crucial, client-facing role, you’ll create custom strategies, manage execution, and act as the main interface between clients and internal teams to achieve key success metrics. You’ll need a deep understanding of how content and SEO impact the broader business.
What You'll Do
- Create custom client strategies and implement best practices to achieve success metrics.
- Build, optimize, and revise strategies using project phase, client goals, campaigns, and historical performance.
- Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns, using competitor and audience insights for ideation.
- Set and present client goals using data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs.
- Ensure strategy execution through project management, including delegating tasks in Asana to team members and clients.
- Partner with content writers and designers to complete content campaigns on time and to quality standards.
- Act as the main interface between clients and the team, building relationships and proactively communicating timelines, progress, and roadblocks.
- Report to clients regularly via bi-weekly meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and bi-annual business review presentations.
- Identify opportunities for client growth through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
- Ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
- Strong communication skills and comfort being client-facing, owning relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog/crawling tools.
- Proven organizational, project, and time management skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content.
- Must have agency experience.
- Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.

Team & Environment
You will report to an Associate Director (AsD) and work closely with them while partnering with Project Managers, content writers, and designers.
