This role is responsible for shaping emotionally resonant content that amplifies the identity and impact of games through creative storytelling and visual design.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the creative direction of marketing content, ensuring visuals convey not just the appearance of a game but its emotional essence.
- Develop still and video content that transforms gameplay, narrative, and atmosphere into shareable emotional experiences beyond the screen.
- Collaborate with social and community teams to create short-form content that fosters dialogue, invites engagement, and connects games to diverse audiences across generations.
- Work alongside development teams to produce promotional materials and trailers that authentically reflect the core emotional spirit of each game.
Requirements
- Deep engagement with and passion for indie gaming communities, along with genuine interest in audiences historically underrepresented in gaming; aligned with the mission to broaden who games are for.
- A portfolio showcasing emotional storytelling through visual and narrative design, demonstrating taste and the ability to evoke feeling.
- Proven experience in directing, shooting, and editing high-quality visual content—including stills, trailers, and motion pieces—for games or entertainment brands.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with 3D or animation production workflows.
- Proficient in using in-app creation tools and social media platforms, with awareness of emerging trends and new formats for digital storytelling.
- Able to adapt creative style across different games and audiences while preserving a consistent, authentic emotional tone.
- Experience working with indie or experimental creative teams, balancing artistic vision with commercial goals.
- Curious and open to exploring innovative ways to express emotion through visuals, narrative, and interactive experiences.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $68,500 USD to $145,000 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on company practices, regional market data, and cost of living adjustments.
