OpenMined is hiring a Content & Community Manager with a developer advocacy focus to grow and engage our global community of privacy researchers, engineers, and early adopters. You'll join a mission-driven nonprofit, blending content strategy, community management, and developer advocacy to advance our open-source project.
What You'll Do
- Keep our community channels active and connected.
- Ensure all content is aligned with our core priorities and resonates with our audience.
- Use AI tools and modern workflows to stay efficient, agile, and creative.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years in community management, developer relations, software development, or content marketing.
- Strong writing skills for short- and long-form content across multiple platforms.
- Experience managing multi-channel content calendars in technical or developer-focused spaces.
- Technical fluency to translate concepts between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort using AI to speed up content creation and improve quality.
- Effective, personable communicator—on Slack and on stage.
- Experience working in fully remote, distributed teams.
- Located in Eastern Time ±1 hour.
Nice to Have
- Background in open-source communities or contributions.
- Visual storytelling skills like lightweight video, memes, or graphic creation.
- You enjoy coding, but love teaching and simplifying complex topics.
- You have your own online presence or know how to activate others'.
- You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and love to experiment.
