The 3rd Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient function of auxiliary engines and onboard mechanical systems aboard container ships. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of auxiliary engines and related machinery
- Support the engineering department in maintaining reliable performance of vessel systems
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of operational excellence
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certificate of Competency (STCW Regulation III/1) with proper verification
- Current STCW certification relevant to the position
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Minimum of six months’ experience in the same rank on a vessel of comparable size and type
