Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated Connectivity & Network Engineer to provide day-to-day support and maintenance for networks in Azure/AWS clouds and physical locations worldwide. You will be a key member of the global NOC (Network Operations Center) Team, responsible for supervising network operations, solving problems, and participating in network development.
What You'll Do
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, load balancers, and network components within Azure and AWS cloud environments.
- Review and analyze vulnerability scan reports and conduct network vulnerability remediations.
- Ensure smooth operation of communication networks to provide maximum performance and availability.
- Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
- Identify issues by monitoring thresholds and reporting violations.
- Implement security improvements by assessing the existing landscape and anticipating requirements.
- Define security standards across the existing environments.
- Monitor the company’s defences, track unauthorized intrusions, and protect ICT systems.
- Develop, update, and implement security measures and controls.
- Evaluate, upgrade, and support network infrastructure (patch and maintenance).
- Resolve complex problems and act as an escalation point to lower tiers.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic.
- Develop and upgrade existing network documentation.
- Design network architecture at the global level.
- Participate in a 24x7x4 on-call service rota.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Telecommunication, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- At least 3-4 years of experience managing a large-scale network.
- 5 years of IT network infrastructure delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following cloud environments: Azure or AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure and AWS connectivity, cloud network architecture components, routing, security groups, load balancing, and cloud DNS.
- Experience designing IDS & IPS systems to prevent network attacks.
- Ability to analyze the source of security breaches.
- Experience recommending and implementing security tools and anti-malware software.
- Experience determining, adapting, and maintaining corporate security procedures and policies.
- Ability to inform management of security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with vulnerability management software tools.
- Experience designing firewall layouts across an entire ICT landscape.
- Ability to act on privacy breaches and malware threats.
