Lam Research is looking for a Computational Chemistry/Materials Science Intern to advance semiconductor technology through atomic precision and materials science. You will identify new processes and materials formulations to impact the next generation of technology.
What You'll Do
- Perform computational chemistry to support process engineering research and development, and process and chamber simulations.
- Compile and evaluate modeling data to provide guidance on chemistries and materials, as well as appropriate limits and variables for process specifications.
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or Materials Science Ph.D. program or equivalent.
- Experience using DFT software such as Gaussian.
- Interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with reactive molecular dynamics such as ReaxFF.
- Experience with machine learning techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Collaboration and matrix environment mindset.
Technical Stack
- DFT software (e.g., Gaussian)
- Reactive molecular dynamics (e.g., ReaxFF)
- Machine learning techniques
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position.
