BT is seeking a Comms Engineer to play a critical role within a specialist security team responsible for protecting vital national infrastructure. The purpose of this role is to deliver secure customer networks, platforms, and systems for BT and special customers, ensuring a focus on technical excellence in engineering.
What You'll Do
- Establish technical objectives and delegate responsibilities.
- Influence your own organisation and customers or suppliers at a senior management level on technical direction and resourcing.
- Direct work resourcing, own site issues, and resolve problems.
- Perform technical coaching and mentoring.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience of technical delivery.
- Leadership and delivery experience.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to clearly capture requirements.
- Good relationship management skills with a dedicated and positive attitude.
- Innovative approach to technical solutions and service quality.
- Must have lived in the UK for 10+ years to obtain DV Security Clearance.
- DV Security Clearance is required.
Nice to Have
- Extensive knowledge of Transmission Network and management platforms.
- Extensive Field Network installation, integration, and testing experience.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong technical writing skills, and presentation, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
