About the Role
This role involves managing a portfolio of commercial loans, evaluating creditworthiness, structuring loan agreements, and maintaining client relationships to support responsible lending and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate financial statements and credit data for commercial loan applicants
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to assess business operations
- Prepare detailed credit analyses and loan recommendations
- Structure loan terms in alignment with risk policies and client needs
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for performance and compliance
- Identify potential credit risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on documentation
- Maintain accurate records in loan management systems
- Support loan closings and disbursement processes
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal lending standards
- Develop strong relationships with business clients
- Respond to client inquiries regarding loan status and requirements
- Assist in the development of lending products and processes
- Participate in team meetings and performance reviews
- Stay current with industry trends and economic factors affecting lending
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in business administration or finance
- Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation
- Experience in credit union or cooperative financial institutions
- Knowledge of SBA lending programs
- Advanced financial modeling skills
