Adtalem Global Education is hiring a Collaborative Health Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) for its nursing program in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will mentor BSN nursing students by bridging classroom theory with hands-on patient care in inpatient clinical settings, directly advancing our mission to educate and empower healthcare professionals.
What You’ll Do
- Mentor nursing students in person at an inpatient clinical setting in the St. Louis area.
- Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through direct clinical teaching and supervision.
- Plan clinical experiences and assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
- Provide direct supervision, evaluation, and documented feedback to students based on course objectives.
- Be available for student remediation as required and maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies.
- Develop, post, and grade clinical assignments, homework, quizzes, tests, and other written work in a timely manner.
- May teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
What We’re Looking For
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Missouri.
- At least two years of professional RN experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
- A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
- A sense of responsibility and purpose with a desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
Nice to Have
- Prior teaching or precepting experience.
- An Illinois RN License (required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized to professors currently licensed in Illinois).
Team & Environment
You will report to the Dean or Assistant Dean. A course coordinator will provide direct oversight and support for your teaching assignment.
Benefits & Compensation
- Expected compensation ranges from $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on your education and experience.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in St. Louis, MO.
