As a CMS and Web Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and refining the systems used to create and publish technical documentation. Your work will center on DITA XML, where you'll enhance authoring tools, streamline conversion workflows from MS Word, and improve publishing pipelines for HTML and PDF outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize tooling for converting legacy documentation into structured DITA XML format
- Collaborate with technical writers to ensure accurate and efficient content migration
- Identify and resolve issues in content conversion and publishing processes
- Refine plugins and scripts used to generate web and print-ready documentation
- Review and edit converted content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality
- Support the use of a component content management system (CCMS), including troubleshooting and documentation
- Create instructional materials such as training videos to assist content creators
- Identify opportunities to reduce redundancy in content and explore automation solutions
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with strong analytical abilities and a commitment to improving documentation workflows. You should be comfortable working with structured content and have a track record of solving technical challenges in content systems.
- Proven problem-solving skills and initiative in process improvement
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with DITA XML and structured authoring environments
- Experience with XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, or Visual Basic is highly beneficial
