As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure by designing and implementing secure, scalable environments on AWS. Your work will focus on proactively identifying risks, enforcing security controls, and ensuring data protection across transmission, storage, and processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy secure cloud platforms resilient to emerging security threats
- Evaluate and enhance security solutions for networks, databases, and cloud systems
- Monitor logs and conduct vulnerability assessments to detect and respond to security incidents
- Contribute to the development of cloud security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks
- Produce detailed technical and executive-level reports on cloud security posture
- Test and maintain disaster recovery procedures for network and security systems
- Enforce access controls and oversee the handling of sensitive information
- Investigate security breaches and collaborate with teams to prevent recurrence
- Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related security inquiries
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security or a related field, with at least five years of experience in information security, including a strong focus on cloud environments. Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services is essential, particularly with services such as IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and WAF. You should have at least two years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure and a solid understanding of current cloud threats and mitigation strategies.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong analytical thinking, and a commitment to mastering new technologies are required. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Terraform, DevSecOps practices, or container security is advantageous.
