Insight Enterprises is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will architect Infrastructure-as-Code, build CI/CD pipelines, and perform workload migrations while collaborating closely with client teams.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure using GCP services like GKE, BigQuery, and Compute Engine.
Architect and implement Infrastructure-as-Code automation with tools such as Terraform and Ansible for repeatable environment provisioning.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using deployment strategies like blue/green and canary releases with tools including Jenkins, CircleCI, and Spinnaker.
Perform workload migrations from on-premises and other cloud environments to GCP, provisioning target infrastructure and executing low-downtime cutover plans.
Collaborate with client engineering and operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, cost-efficient GCP architectures.
Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, security, and availability; troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, and networking layers.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Provide technical support and continuous improvements to existing cloud environments, ensuring compliance with best practices.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. An advanced degree in the same field is also accepted.
12 months of experience in a role such as Cloud Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Software/DevOps Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, or closely related.
Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines using techniques like blue/green and canary deployments with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, and Spinnaker.
Experience with networking, VPNs, and compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers).
Experience architecting, developing, and maintaining production-grade systems in virtualized environments.
Experience migrating complex, multi-tiered workloads from on-premises to the cloud, including provisioning target infrastructure and executing cutover plans to minimize downtime.
Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, and Packer.
