Join Fisher & Paykel Healthcare as a Cloud Engineer within our Informatics team, where you'll support cloud solutions that directly connect our medical devices to patients and clinicians globally. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining the reliable, large-scale cloud applications used by health professionals worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Support the development of cloud applications used by health professionals worldwide.
- Support a global-scale system, reliably monitoring and alerting on patient status and predicting patient progress.
- Implement, support, administer, and monitor Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Design, implement, and support publicly available web applications.
- Design cloud solutions including Virtual Networks, Load Balancing, Front End, Proxy, and WAF.
- Implement, support, administer, and monitor containerized environments (AKS/Kubernetes).
- Manage virtual machines, compute, storage, and network components, including backup, monitoring, and DR environment requirements.
- Design networks including CIDR, VPN, and DNS.
- Implement and maintain logging and monitoring systems.
- Understand and address vulnerabilities and security in cloud environments.
- Perform fault-finding.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of Azure cloud experience in implementing, supporting, administering, and monitoring Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
- 1-2 years of web hosting experience in designing, implementing, and supporting publicly available web applications.
- Strong knowledge in designing cloud solutions including Virtual Networks, Load Balancing, Front End, Proxy, and WAF.
- Experience implementing, supporting, administering, and monitoring containerized environments with AKS or Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of virtual machines, compute, storage, and network components, including backup, monitoring, and DR environment requirements.
- Strong knowledge in network design including CIDR, VPN, and DNS.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining logging and monitoring systems.
- An understanding of vulnerabilities and security in cloud environments.
- Excellent fault-finding skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with maintaining on-prem and cloud-based Splunk instances including ingestion, search, and dashboards.
- Understanding of source control systems such as Azure DevOps or Git.
