Clario is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to own the design, implementation, and maintenance of our scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires deep technical expertise to architect solutions, automate processes, and support our engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Architect and implement solutions using AWS best practices across networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Stay current with AWS advancements and recommend new services or architectures as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in AWS.
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
