Applied Information Sciences is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer Subject Matter Expert to join our team. This senior architect role is responsible for setting enterprise DevOps strategy, integrating AI/ML, edge, and IoT into delivery pipelines, and governing compliance and risk at scale.
What You'll Do
- Develop strategy and integration methodology around the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based solutions.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses for total systems.
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation for hardware and software specifications.
- Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Be responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configuration issues.
- Enable the rapid development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis.
- Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
- Required certifications: IAT-2 and one or more cloud certifications.
- An active Secret clearance (or higher).
- Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering and documentation practices.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment at sites near Boston, MA.

- Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
