About the Role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is hiring a Clinical Specialist to support the Specimen Management business unit in the Pacific Northwest region. Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, this field-based role focuses on observing clinical practice and recommending process optimization to enhance efficiency in laboratory and nursing workflows. You will spend most of your time interacting face-to-face with customers to foster partnerships and drive improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Foster a continually evolving partnership with customers in a clinical process advisory capacity.
  • Maintain expert knowledge as a product specialist for Specimen Management as products and guidelines evolve.
  • Act as a clinical resource specialist, engaging with key opinion leaders to identify critical areas for improvement.
  • Drive clear project goals and expectations to achieve process efficiency and department effectiveness.
  • Proactively ensure optimal workflow and product utilization.
  • Facilitate project processes using best practices and financial analysis to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Interview stakeholders and process owners to support process improvement recommendations.
  • Lead and partner in change management activities associated with process improvement.
  • Engage stakeholders to obtain support and buy-in for process recommendations.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to various hospital departments and senior management.
  • Continue ongoing collaborations to ensure continuous improvement from projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, life science, or a relevant field with MT ASCP, LEAN Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • 4-6 years of demonstrated success in process improvement, best practices, and change management within the Medical Device or IVD industries.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and application to selling tools.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory IT systems, including LIS data.
  • Ability to integrate projects within BD sales organizations and marketing departments.

Nice to Have

  • Medical Lab Technologist / ASCP Certification.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $114,500.00 - $189,100.00 USD.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position based in the Pacific Northwest. Company locations include: USA NJ - Franklin Lakes, USA CO – Golden, USA MN - Minneapolis Medina Rd, USA WA - Seattle.
