About the Role

Community Health Systems is hiring a Clinical Nurse Leader Telemetry for a full-time night shift position at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson. In this RN Charge Nurse role, you will oversee nursing unit operations, supervise staff, coordinate patient care, ensure compliance, and foster a positive work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and support nursing and support staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to maintain high standards of care.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring patient care plans are followed and adjusted as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve issues related to patient flow or care delivery.
  • Ensure effective communication among physicians, patients, families, and hospital departments, including managing shift handoffs and unit huddles.
  • Monitor patient flow, manage bed assignments, and optimize resource utilization within the unit.
  • Conduct employee and patient rounding to evaluate care delivery and satisfaction.
  • Monitor adherence to safety standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies, addressing non-compliance promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance patient outcomes and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure necessary medical supplies are available and properly utilized while maintaining cost-effective resource management.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff and ensure training needs are met.
  • Lead efforts in infection prevention by conducting audits, educating staff, and ensuring adherence to protocols for hand hygiene, sterilization, and use of PPE.
  • Respond to emergencies within the unit, providing leadership and direct care as necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Benefits & Compensation

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible, experienced RNs.
